Bob Dylan - New York Sessions 1974

Merry Christmas, everybody :) Here is
Bob Dylan's alternate Blood On The Tracks, the actual test pressing that is. What we have here is the original version of Blood On The Tracks, the tracks recorded in New York City that were scheduled to be released as the album. However, Dylan decided to re-do the album, heading to Minneapolis to record with a band of local musicians. He came up with 5 new versions of 10 of the tracks, and that would give us the album that we all know and love.
This incredible recording is the original New York session recordings taken directly from a mint condition test pressing of the intended release. Half of the tracks are the actual released versions, the other half on this CD were thrown away in favor of the Minneapolis versions. While the official Blood On The Tracks is an impossibly ludicrous standard of comparison for non-released material.... this lone CD is a contender. Hearing all tracks together as they were intended is pure magic. Listen in amazement to what, but for a simple twist of fate, would have been the official CBS release.
